Optimum Accounting Solutions (OAS) started off as a small, local run business offering accountancy and tax services to individuals and local businesses within the Essex area. The approach to treat clients as business partners has led to OAS expanding its client base and grow itself into an organisation that is able to offer a suite of accountancy, tax and business services that will go beyond the basic over the counter service.

The evolution of the accountancy profession has meant that accountants provide more than just compliance services. We are trusted business advisors providing our clients with support beyond the numbers to ensure that adequate decisions are made taking all the relevant factors into account.

Professional

All staff working at OAS have achieved professional accreditation to perform their role. The Managing Director has received certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and has more than 10 years of experience in the accounting sector.

Planning for success

OAS collaborates with its internal subject matter experts and specialists to be able to provide its clients with a premier service, that allows them to achieve success. Each client is given a thorough assessment to allow OAS to understand the business and provide a plan to meet the needs and requirements of the client.

Director

Jatinder Singh Nahal

Jatinder has a wealth of experience in assisting self-employed clients to ensure that they are correctly accounting their income and expenses. OAS want their client’s accounts to be error free, while ensuring they maximise their take home salary and plan adequately for the future. OAS are able to advise on the correct and most tax efficient structure for a business, how to account for VAT, the payroll administration of the business and how to maximise remuneration for the directors and shareholders of the business. Jatinder is qualified and has experience in being able to perform both Internal and External Audits. This experience has been gained in the public and private sector with organisations that range in size. He also has significant experience in Conduct Risk identification, assessment and mitigation for financial services firms.

Based in Essex, Jatinder operated from a home office, but has now been able to implement a satellite office set-up to be able to accommodate the needs of the clients he serves. Working smart and having the right technology framework in place allows Jatinder to work efficiently and be able to provide his clients with the attention and support they need to thrive.

Predominantly dealing with new start-ups and small & medium sized enterprises (SME) across the UK, Jatinder has been able to build his book of success stories that has led to many of the businesses he works with increase in size and become more profitable. The client portfolio consists of businesses that range in size from one-person start-up businesses to large corporations. OAS does not operate your typical client-accountant relationship. OAS view those that work with them as business partners, and OAS’ success depends on the success of the businesses they work with.

Having identified a demand for Probate and Estate Administration services at a more affordable cost, Jatinder now holds the relevant qualification to be able to perform non-contentious probate work. Previously, OAS would conduct all the Estate Administration work and then work with our legal partners to obtain the Grant of Representation. This reserved legal activity can now be performed by an ICAEW authorised firm. Historically it could only be performed by the legal profession.
